Home for the weekend. My wife and I are getting the room above the garage ready. Made a couple of runs to Goodwill. We also ordered new carpet for the room above the garage and flooring for the kitchen.
I'm running the new dedicated our terminal has up to Michigan thru High Point. That'll get me home Friday and off for the weekend when my son arrives.
Taking a personal day next Monday and two vacation days after that. During that time we'll get his NC license, CLP, and start on TWIC and register with the college. -
In Charleston WV. Truck is having an issue. Believe a sensor is going bad and it's going into partial derate. Can't go more than 35 up a hill pulling an empty tank.
Headed to the shop after my 10 to get a diagnostic done. If it is the sensor and they can fix it quickly, I'll be glad. If they don't have time, I'm running good enough to make Michigan to drop this empty and then find a shop. My shop guy and I will discuss options once we know more. -
Cummins said it's an 8 hour diagnostic and they couldn't do it until next week. Knowing I've had fuel filter issues, I asked them to change both. Mechanic says that was a good call. Rust on the water separate, so changing the filters and doing a fuel treatment might do the trick. Will know when I'm on the road in a couple of hours. Got to go get my tank from the Charleston terminal and get rolling to know for sure.

Finished the run without further issues. I got in around noon thirty.
Looking forward to my oldest son arriving this weekend. Carpet guys come tomorrow to do up his room and then the kitchen for my wife. Things are coming together. -
The reunion and mini vacation with my son is about done. I'M taking a maybe run up to Indianapolis this weekend for delivery on Monday.
My boy has his NC license and will be doing the physical, drug screen, and written tests tomorrow for his CLP. He will be enrolled in school by the end of the day tomorrow.
The March class is full so he won't start until June 11. That stressed him a little, but I told him to enjoy the family and time off for three months. We'll get the work out of him. I've already put him to work painting and this afternoon he gets to learn how to put in new countertops.Roady87, PostmanMJC and dwells40 Thank this. -
In Cincinatti. Loading out of Emry and running a short run near Markham. Will catch a load towards home out of there. Hopefully a Raeford run.

If it delivers to basf Kankakee thats a 4+ hour pump offload iirc.
scythe08 and slim shady Thank this. -
Solvay in University Park. Lousy run to call a system run. A week of days like today would have me finding another company. These are rare days, 117 empty miles after sitting 12, then sit 13 to catch a 274 mile load. Not pleased with that. Around 50 bucks today and barely over 200 tomorrow. Yikes! I'm used 250 a day. This is some crap.

Sounds like typical Markham. At least you have good dedicated freight out of Wilmington most of the time.
