i am highly suspicious of truck or car only lanes.

as an example, the NJTP has truck lanes, and car lanes, and why is it that the cars are in the truck lanes?

unless state or local police are there to ensure the proper vehicles drive on the proper lanes, how mare they going to really control this?

they gonna takes pictures of the offending vehicles and mail them tickets?

    I should have clarified.......
This particular route goes from nowhere, goes through nowhere, and dumps you into the pit of hell. Completely useless

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, the ratio of horrible, inconsiderate drivers is a lot lower among CDL drivers, but that's a lot of tax dollars for an experiment.

I would suggest using traffic cameras to ticket dedicated lane violators... But that is one type of enforcement I dont agree with, it would just open the use of cameras to other traffic violation areas which is not good.

thing is, cops cannot be every where. then too, should an accident take place, it gets caught on camera, and the people watching those monitors, can get help there.

there are both sides to camera enforcement.

i'd prefer more cameras every where, at every city corner for instance, every road, city, state, federal.

it (to me) is not an invasion of privacy, since we'd be "in public" places.

Money better spent would be a truck only ATL bypass..

$100 fine for 4 wheelers mailed right to them.

I’d say it was bound to happen sooner or later.

I’ll be very interested in accident statistics after this has been done for a few years.

I agree completely. A better misuse of taxpayer funds would be to construct an elevated trucks-only roadway above 75 going through Atlanta.

    Trucks-only lanes aren't tolled. Yet.
