But Swift still accepts it without a problem?

I wouldn't worry too much about the image quality as shown on your phone. Even with the top of the line phones on the market, you're still viewing the images on a small, poor resolution screen. Download that same image to your computer and it will be much much clearer. I've used the app and on my iPhone 6+, the image isn't readable, but I've loaded other images I've taken with my phone to my computer and they look much more sharper on my computer than they do on the phone.

I am still old school on this. Like the idea of sending on Transflo and having that receipt. The only thing about the new app I like is the pplan.

I downloaded that app but was forced to activate the 24/7 GPS tracker to open it. Didn't like that.

Took a look around the app then dumped it from my iPhone. Just don't feel I have to give Swift the location of my phone 24/7 just so I can do a mac9. I can walk to the truck if need be or call my ECT for details if on hometime.

Could care less about phone scanning as I usually stay or stop by a TS every day and have usually scanned my bills within 12 hrs.

And why would it need such information in the first place?
The texts go to a simple phone number, and the scan sheet is generated from the load info. Current location is irrelevant.
Why would they need/want an exact GPS location for anything that app does?

My thoughts of getting a smart phone to use this app just went out the window.
That is just as bad as driver facing camera's.
    Well, nearly, maybe.

Exactly Moose!! It doesn't need to know where my phone is to scan or Mac9!!

Yep ... figured that would be there. It's why I haven't bothered to even download it ... everyone has been wanting in cab scanning ... they could easily activate it on the QC ... but it's nice bait to let them get their hooks into your phone.

That is another concern - a hook into your phone.

Not much for me. Mine is dumb, I only use it for speaking and receiving texts.
I never text anything out, and my phone has no internet access.

They like to tell us what they can't do with the tech, but they obviously never tell us what is really possible to do with it.
With the camera's it is 'We can't view it in real time', while not mentioning that anyone with access can simply download the most recent file stored - or any file in the memory for the past hour or two.

With 'the App' what will it be?
Tracking where you go while on home time, via your phone.
Every store, every strip joint, every bar, every anyplace - within a few meters.

I don't even worry about that stuff.
It is just the concept of Big Brother becoming the reality that bothers me.
The day when I have no hope of any freedom of movement will be the day I die.
And the trucking industry is pushing me to that day, day by day it seems.

    HousTank Thanks this.
