You may want to look at central refridgerated. Not sure but my understanding is that they provide meals. Not positive but I think I read that sonewhere. Downside they deduct the training cost from your pay check. Prime has a no pay school with a 1 year contract. They don't pay you for the 1st 6 weeks but you can get up to 200 a week advance. They deduct 25 per week once you start getting paid.
Just a couple of other options I looked at that might work better for you -
Yeah I tried central already they didnt like the ticket I had 2 and a half years ago. I applied at Prime too but havent heard back yet

Well if you enf up at FFe on the 21st I'll see you there. I'm bringing a bunch a ramen noodles and some sandwich stuff. If you Can aford that they make walmart runs from the school. A case a ramen is less than 2.00 and a jar of peanut doesn't cost too much. If you can do that you can get through pretty cheap. I'm not sure if you get paid the first day you go with the trainer or if it takes a week. I asked my recruiter but haven't heard back yet. Hope you can work it out.

Yeah he said if am fully approved I would start on the 17th and be there for 2 weeks. I get paid after the 2 weeks when I get an actual trainer for over the road

when I attend the Academy, there wasn't a single person there who wasn't low on funds. we all were in the same boat. I made it on tuna and mac/cheese 3 meals a day for 2 weeks. It's rough, but it is possible. It just comes down to how much do you want it?

the training is good. thorough. 2 weeks of nonstop hustle. followed by 6 more weeks of over the road hustle. -

When I went through academy I basically did the sandwich myself. I came here Oct 18th and just got on the payroll yesterday. However I guess there going through a back log on trainers I'm having to wait till Monday the 7th hopefully sooner though. It's been a good experience for the most part though. I came in with a cdl but haven't driven over the road since 2006. So will be interesting to see what I get for a trainer. They let guys be a trainer here with only 6 mnths exp.
