True that. This is all about moving freight and not loosing money. Just get on board, get the experience, and if you decide to move one later, so be it.

I am in my 8th month with FFE. My over the road trainer was Playmaker. He left while I was in training. He left out of need and not out of anger. This is not the highest paying job, but for trainees, it is by far the best. Once you fullfill your obligation you can do anything you want. But, so far for me, my pay is increasing, and I now feel more like a part of the team. While I am down and sitting, if you have any questions, please ask. The only thing I promise is the truth, good or bad.

    roadrunner70 and Everett Thank this.

Without putting too much effort into providing an answer, just off the top of your head, how many miles do you average per week?

Or, if it's easier to answer, can you make at least $455 once you are done training and have your own truck?

I'm not looking to get rich doing this, at least not during the first year. I would just like confirmation that a safe driver who is willing to do anything and go anywhere at any time can make at least $26K the first year.

If you drive at least 8 hours a day, average, you will make over 800.00 per week. With per diem, you will bring home over 650.00. I do better than that, but you have to learn and get in your groove.

    roadrunner70 Thanks this.

Freezer, how are the trainers? My biggest fear is getting stuck with someone who hasn't seen the inside of a shower since "W" was President.

There is always a chance you will get a trainer you are not compatable with. Wken Playmaker left I got a new trainer, and he was great. You just never know. But, that being said, if you are not happy, just call training, and they will switch you out.

    Wingnut1 Thanks this.
