The new NYHUT stickers...

Whoever came up with this location obviously never looked at the front of a truck. IDK where I'll put mine.. #### BS

 

Way back the TMT [ton mile tax] as it was called then was a small license plate, black w/ orange lettering and was smounted on the front end so the troopers could sit by a toll booth and look for trucks w/out it.

I remember the first carrier I worked for had 5 trucks and one HUT sticker. Scotch transparent tape on a chrome bumper kept us from being stopped though if we had been stopped the cop would have seen the tape...

 

I used to put mine on the SS fender guard under the headlights. No surprise the Vampire State brought this back.

 

I will put mine on the side where my ifta sticker is. If they do not like it to bad. Used to put it there back when Ny had the sticker and never had an issue. Just more BS in NY to deal with.

 

Exactly. NY always has something foolish going on. If the sticker is on the truck and visible and I can't talk my way out of a ticket...I'll go to court with a picture and Hanadarko's mentioned letter. If they want a sticker in a place that doesn't exist on my vehicle...not a whole lot I should have to say to get it dismissed.

 

Just got mine in the mail today, thats the problem with government at all levels, pencil pushers that can't find their ### with both hands making rules for things they know nothing about.

 

You should also make copies and send them to your state reps as well and if everyone did it then possibly all the reps would walk into the offices of the NY reps and go WTF dudes!! Maybe they would bring some pressure to make it change, if not at least the image of all those other state reps walking in on the NY reps doing that all day is funny!!

 

Put that ugly purple sticker on the bumper of a W9. Yeah ok. I suppose they want it front and centre also? Mine is still going between the lights and the bumper on that chrome piece there.
