Better looking then the w990 in my opinion besides the wider cab don’t see much of a difference. So why bother getting rid of the 389

Phase 2 GHG regulations, Class 8 vehicle fuel economy standards, and streamlining production.

Really doesn't look much different than the 359/379/389. Then again I've never been much of a Pete fanatic either.

I'm with you. I'd never complain about having a larger cab, and that really seems to be the main difference.

It's one of the most recognizable units in country, so large changes aren't necessary. The larger cab is nice, but streamlining the interior to better align with the 567 and 579 was important to help build times. The digital dash is pretty sweet looking also. At the end of the day, you don't radically change something so popular.

What's so legendary about thst truck ?
Legendary is when something has been around long enough to build a proven reputation.
That 589 ain't even cut its 1st tooth yet
And @AModelCat .. We're friends and all ... but how dare you put a 359 in the same comparison category as a 589
They only thing they share is the Red oval.. it ends there ..

Oxbow and MACK E-6 Thank this.
