I put my root install on a 50 gig partition and I'm constantly running out of space with my arch install. Linux can read and write NTFS but I wouldn't really recommend it for regular use as it's a reverse engineered fs in Linux as far as I know. Are you planning on installing steam games in both? What's the plan?

Honestly I have not run much in Linux yet. Recently switched my really old laptop over to it. It only has a 30G hd and 4G RAM. It's a big improvement. Just currently using that for videos movies/TV shows on Kodi.

For the new PC. It'll be for that as well as gaming. But I don't use steam. I always do a full install of the game on the PC.

I don't dual boot Windows with Linux any longer. I actually stopped using Linux many years ago and switched to iPad. In all honesty, you can get a 1TB NVMe from a national brand for under $150 and a 1TB HDD for under $50. I see no need to skimp on storage. Today if I was going to dual boot I would buy a 500GB NVMe and use 350GB for windows and 150GB for Linux. I would actually place a 2nd storage in my system to hold data. Again, the prices of solid-state drives have come way down over the past 10 years and this has also driven down the prices of HDDs as well. I see no need to skimp.

I love your setup. I am so terrible with cable management and the like, that my desk always looks messy. You have it down pat.

Finally got a 6800 and it barely fit in my case. Needed to pull the front intake fan to put the card through to get the right angle.

So, guys, my time has come to build a PC. I’ve saved some money. In short, I want my PC to be capable of editing photos and videos. I mostly use Ph, Lr, Ae and PrPro. I’ve decided to start building my machine with a monitor. What would you suggest? I need a colourful monitor, but I still can’t decide which one to choose: OLED or IPS. What would you recommend, guys? The only option I’ve come up with so far is this one https://productz.com/en/dell-s2419hgf/p/WaqJ6. My friend has a similar monitor, so he’s advised me about it. What do you think?

If you're just doing photos and such, I'd say the MATERIAL the actual screen is covered with makes a huge difference. Glass ALL the way. Some monitors have these kind of...matte? finishes. I dunno. It's hard to explain what I mean.

But glass gives the color vividness and depth.
