No, I bought regular 2.5 form factor SSDs. My laptop will only take a 2.5 FF and my desktop is so dang old I rather not mess with the MB. I might look into this when I finally do my build, but this most likely won't be into well in 2022.

There's a bunch there, but usually you want to ask around. How much are you looking to spend? What kind of games do you plan on playing?Dieselboss and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
@D.Tibbitt below are 2 builds.

Motherboard (Aus X99-Pro-USB3.1) is dying after 5 years of service. It was always overclocked and air cooled (in a gaming machine.) So as a lifelong builder I am not going to break their stones over it. I'll still get $350-$400 out of the processor on Ebay.
I can reuse my case, power supply, SSDs, and GPU (and peripherals of course.)
Upper-end Intel parts (CPU and MoBo) are scarce right now. So no bargains going on. Almost switched back to AMD after 10 years... but didn't.
Added an M2 fast drive to be the Windows boot disk (since those didn't exist when I built the previous system) All parts from NewEgg.
