Stay away from load boards as much as possible. I use them to get me to where i want to be to start and end my 8 day week. Everything in between is my own work paying around $3/pm.
It's hard to explain to newbies becoz they take what they can, when they can, only to find they make classic mistakes and there ain't enough funds to pay taxes and repairs. Here today gone tomorrow.
Avoid brokers, factoring agents and any other interferer that's out there to mess with your hard earned profits. The work is there to be found. Get out there and mingle with people that matter.
Just for the record my fixed costs are $1.42/pm and operate solo and occasionally team with my nephew as required. My lowest paying hauls are load boards and I won't move my truck for any less than $2.42/pm. My last haul was 2365 miles for $7300. That's $3.08/pm and about average per week for me.
Chins Up.chimbotano and Svmuel Thank this. -
