Not to change the subject but lightweight OD rates in Al. suck now. I can haul regular for same money.
They were offering 2.85 a mile for 10 foot wide recentlly permits inclusive.
My signs have only been out once in past year.
Never knew Fl. changed wording sign must have now think it's oversize load.

    I also beg to differ,

All fuel hauling truck drivers are required to wear PPE at loading terminals... As well as chemical tank drivers ect. ect. If you see a truck with a HazMAt tank behind it... know that these drivers also wear PPE... Quite a few truck drivers when you think about it.

My point being is that, when a construction inspector is on site and sees violations to write fines, do they find the nearest general laborer and issue the citation in his name? A little different than trucking. Huh?

And you hit the nail on the head with your last point. Trucking regualtions are so over the top right now... adding more like CSA is illogical and even silly.

But you and others miss the point...CSA is not a new regulation....

It is a means to verify that carriers are compliant.....

If you guys have paid any attention to what Diesel Bear has said on the subject...You would know.....

CSA did not bring in EOBR's.....
CSA did not change our HOS regs.....
CSA did not make us use hands free devices for communications.....

It is a Verification Tool used by DOT...Nothing more and Nothing less....

CSA allows LEO's to issue damaging 'warnings' that cannot be contested with legal due process of the law.

You think LEO's like this? They can take legal due process out of the equation.

CSA gives LEO's an option to circumvent legal due process of the law... Nothing more, nothing less.

You do understand there is no new regulation in CSA don't you?

Get governemnt out of business? Sure.
    Out of our schools? Absolutely.
Quit pressing their mythology on the populace. Couldn't agree more.
Forcing at gunpoint my funding of the feeble's retirement or breeding habits. Son I'll stand the line with you and keep the Huns at bay.

None of that has anything to do with providing and regulating public roads. There are few instances a government is a viable solution. Common defense, common use items like roads, I would even say land grant universities so long as they are self supporting, Common representation(Put simply it would be quite impossible for all of us to sign a nuclear treaty with a say China yes.)

And I have told all of you before....Do not take a Warning....Tell the officer to cite you if you believe the Officer is in error...

    You can "Data Q" a citation....But you currently can't "Data Q" Warnings....

Officers are human contrary to popular belief and, they do like the rest of us humans...Make mistakes....
I can't tell you how many times I used to get pulled for being "over-grossed" on my spread...The officer "sees" 19K on the axles and wants to tear my azzhat out...I politiely remind them that spreads are legal to 20K per axle....

Learn how the system works...Stop being a "Victim"....

I don't know if they ever identified them. We were regrading a gravity feed to a new lift station. Nomex suits ,120 deg in Tampa, raw feed from several office buildings...........

About three minutes after I looked at my partner putting a ball in the main flow I said "It can't get no better":biggrin_255:

    Then the water went down:biggrin_2555:

You ever tried to tell a block of business towers to cross their legs:biggrin_25524:

We were running pumpers out of the uphill hole for two #### days waiting for them to give us back the hole so we could pull that ball out.

Defense is done in a court of law... This IS how the system works. Secondly, DataQ IS a joke and it is not a court, and it cannot deem a state to do ANYHTING. If CSA was valid for the 'system' one wouldn't have to work the 'system' for results.

As far as LEO's making mistakes... I'd say it happens more often than not... perhaps stiff monitary fines should be issued to them for mistakes. Oops, cannot have that, that would make thier job more like a truckers.
