All american truck drivers want A- Better rate per mile B- Lower fuel price C- Marry Bob Barricades daughter
As an american truck driver I think we need: Unionization. This first and foremost. Hourly pay WITH overtime, no OT exemption bull ####. Anymore, CPM made illegal for company drivers. Enforce the read/write english law for CDL holders. Lease Op scams to be made illegal. No visas allowed for CMV operators. Shutdown these god forsaken 1099 outfits funded by foreign nations like SuperEgo and their ilk. Sadly, too many dumb #### drivers will argue in favor of the millionaire and billionaire corporate execs and politicians who turned trucking into a miserable low pay sweat shop gig from a once respectable middle class blue collar career. "Iffin yall aint working 100 hours a week fur .30 cpm, yall got sum sawft hands boy. I git shat on way harder at my job than urs feller. That right thar makes me a tougher big manly man." This ####in attitude needs to die in a fire. You aren't respected more for working hard for less and keeping that trend going year after year for decades. You're an idiot and a stooge for the rich elites. I cannot and will not ever back that mentality. I understand doing a job nobody wants to do for a paycheck and being good at it. I don't understand being prideful of getting left behind financially as productivity goes up year after year with inflation all while wages go up at a fraction of the productivity and inflation. Adjusted to todays monies value, drivers worked less and made more back in the 60s and 70s. In fact I know several drivers who had 1 month of hometime a year at a minimum and made 40-45k a year in the late 90s. As a company driver. Meanwhile I know there are thousands upon thousands of drivers out there stuck on the road for a month or more with only 2-3 days off a month if they are lucky and making less than 45k dollars a year. The system is a ######## broken scam. It's a big club, and you ain't in it. But alas, the greed of the elite is always their downfall. In due time they will step on the peasants too hard as is always the case and the peasants will realize crumbs aren't feeding them every night and they'll burn the system to the ground. Pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered. We're drawing near to the violent part of the cycle. It ain't just trucking.
