I've had 3 trucks, 6/7 loaners and none of them had a camera. You need to check your facts before posting false information.

The cameras are there for REPEAT incidents. Such as, a driver got in a wreck twice. He gets a camera so they can see how he reacts. It records 30 seconds when it is triggered by a event. We have so few of them even the maintenance department doesn't really really see them and they handle 20-60 trucks a day at each terminal.

I understand you had a bad experience with Roehl, and I'm sure your not going to be the last. People who come in with a closed mind or a bad attitude will not last.

    DrtyDiesel Thanks this.

    Hey all
I have to admit companies offering 7/7 is very interesting to me. I'm out 14 min then home for 2. We don't have any real bills to speak of and 6-7 days to play with my cars sounds good. I guess the things to consider are the forced routing (I run how I want and keep within 10% OOR miles). Are the trucks basic models without EPU's or converters (I have a EPU and 3500W built in) which can make life tougher. Are the trucks high mileage and maitanace prone. As with most things in life the devil is in the details and a recruiter might FORGET to mention them.

We also have 14/7 and 7/3-7/4

But our new trucks are prostar+ so its a little better than a basic one. Mine has the epu, auto start for when the batteries get low, and more features than a standard model

The cascadias I'm not sure of as I'm not familiar with them. But they do have the epu.

We have a few new kw t660's but they are FEW.

Our cascadias don't come with auto start and if you want a inverter put into one of our new trucks you have to pay 250/300 dollars plus supple the inverter.

I must admit that is a ridiculous price but if you want a inverter that is the only way. Plus it has a 2 hour run time then 10 hours off. That 250/300 your spending is the cost to put a safety switch in to do that.

Had a guy in cdl school that went to Roehl. He is the one who told me about the company. He didn't make it. According to him he couldn't downshift. They had no patients with him. That is all I know.

They'll give you some help and take their time with you but if you can't get it by the 3rd or 4th day of orientation then they will let you go. A guy in my class couldn't shift and he would never look at his gauges. They gave him a bus ticket home and sent him on his way

You're seriously going to say that they (Roehl) actually has people or makes them say good things about them on here? Yes, the hundreds of happy Roehl Drivers on here are paid to say good things, that's what it is.

Yeah the several people who left Roehl and went to work for other companies, and have said they'd go back to Roehl if they had to because it was a good company are paid by Roehl to still say those things.

I'm sure some companies do that practice BUT I can assure you those of us that post all the time in the Roehl Driver Check In thread are not paid, if we were I'd be throwing out my name all the time trying to get a referral bonus.

Thats what it looks like to me u guys take too much of ur time defending the company like if is ur job i mean if they are so good to u then keep working there an be happy but clearly if someone is mad at the company they are going to express it and u gotta respect that we all go thru different experience and we all know the grass is no greener on the other side each company have good and bad things but u look u try to hard to just point out how good roehl is like some type of marketing tecqnique or something roehl have good things too but at the end its just like all trucking companies all they care is how much money u can make for them and thats about it
