You know what height limit is on a carhauler? What ever one can get away with! :D

And yeah, that looks like a mid-roof, and IIRC, low roofs are just over 14' loaded up there.

Last winter this poor fella pulled in next to me. I give him credit for bringing it in. IMG_20190115_112044524_HDR.jpg

Took out the spindle. He was from Maine, and we was both in Vegas... IMG_20190115_124125614_HDR.jpg
Helped him load his duals up. He was headed back to the shipper to unload and was gonna run 3 legged back home.

I would not have wanted to go very far with just that aluminum rub rail supporting the bouncing weight of a set of duals, complete with hub and drum. lol
I do not think I would have stayed behind him either if I caught him on the road. lol

I wouldn't be surprised if was technically legal. As long as the weight on the remaining tires was within thier rating, and didn't put the front trailer axle over 20k, and the rest of his brakes were up to snuff.

    Good to go....

I do not know if hauling them like that is legal, doubt it, but driving three legged is, as long as you are not over weight.

    Well lets see here.

This'd be the time i lost a torsion axle out the back of the gooseneck with my kids in the sleeper. I managed to jack it up, remove wheels, drop axle and sling it all on the deck before NYSP arrived. They thought id changed a tire. I limped back to mass overnight on a single axle.

Then theres the time i lost a front wheel bearing and everything that goes with it.

Dont have pics of roadside headgasket, trans, pushrod or exploded coolant tank repairs but that all pretty much explains why id rather get paid to drive someone elses truck!
