Don't strap spools please or you will end up here. Seen enough of them rolling down the highway in Houston to last a lifetime lol

According to the old fella who attempted to load me with this"Everyone else takes these loaded like this"... Sorry but I'm not everyone so therefore unload my trailer. I'm not getting popped at the scale or a roadside inspection for this BS... Anyone who takes these loads of chain link fence hanging over the rub rail like this is nuts unless its oversized with rates to accompany it. SMH.

Yup, that's only my 2nd time ever that I've had them unload my trailer. I guess sitting today without a load is better than sitting at the weight scale waiting for my ticket to be written and my oversized permits to be ordered :biggrin_2553:

You made the right call. Most states won’t issue you a permit for that anyway, that’s divisible. You would have to make it legal width by shifting the load or moving half the load to another truck.

Garbage freight overhanging the pallet, you say? o_O

Wrong words to use at a freight line. We take people to the cleaners for that once the freight inspector gets ahold of it. Kicking a shipment to a higher class gets very expensive for somebody very quickly.

    Sad but true.
I see sod, rolls & squares, & bagged mulch running the south FL 2 lanes looking like that all the time.. :biggrin_25513:
