I still spend a couple hours a day outside loading and unloading but I am usually moving at a brisk pace so the cold doesn’t normally bother me. (Within reason) When the wind chill gets much below zero I start thinking of taking the day off. I bought Artic Coveralls a few years ago and it needs to be below zero before I can put them on. They are in the basement at home and if it gets cold enough to wear them I will reevaluate working in that cold of weather. They may likely stay in the basement and me on the couch if it gets that cold.

Ya'll should try Baerskin jackets if you want to stay warm and dry. Might be worth a check.

We've had a couple of really frosty days here with clear blue skies and bright sunshine. Felt really good outside, but yesterday there was thick freezing fog and I drove to the river field to walk the dogs and although I was warm in my thick jacket the lack of sun made my fingertips in work gloves frozen stiff. Jules, my Beauceron has hunting genes so goes deaf to recall when his nose picks up an interesting scent so I always have him on a 33 metre thin line so that he thinks he is free but I know he can't continue for several kms. But, once he runs that thin line races through my fingers at high speed and my hands would be sliced and bleeding without those heavy duty gloves.

IMG_0219.jpeg IMG_0220.jpeg I wonder if the driver felt this right away.

I doubt it, if the idiot can't read height signs why would you think he would hear , see or, feel anything?

I’m headed to minot. I will wave, but I’m probably not coming out of the truck
