living a 1/2 a mile from the North East Extension just before the mid county interchange I can hear the jakes winding down as the trucks approach the tolls all night long and they are loud. In my personal opinion however, there are much more annoying and offensive noise makers out there such as the local fire house/truck/ambulance horns & sirens, the idiots on their crotch rockets full throttle north bound on 476, the G550 that takes off every morning and lands every afternoon from Wings Field (not to mention the flight school), the dogs barking next door, and on friday nights and all day Saturday the announcers from the Spartans Pee Wee football games yelling out each play over the outdoor public address system. There is also alot of other annoying #### that I have to listen to over the course of the day so I just say "deal with it."Why, because people that snivel are more annoying the the issues they are sniveling about.

While on the road (Interstate-State Route) they stay on. I hit the stop sign at the end of the ramp, I switch it off. See the hamlet/town sign, I switch it off. To make it even simpler, off in towns/cities/travel centers-truck stops/weigh stations/rest areas.

semper fi! we will never please the one that dont want to be pleased. if its not about lakes, its about "us tearing up rds" or anything else they can place the blame on us for, yet, if we stop running...... then they dont get what they need/want. selfish is what they are.

Smoked my brakes down that many times without a jake....As far as this thread goes I think the guy that started the thread is exagerating & just wants something to b!tch about....I think some drivers probably use their jakes when not needed but not all the time...The thread starter is probably just a grumpy old fart with nothing better to do but gripe about trucks..

As always, a few abusive Jake abusers who basically want to say "look at me" tend to cause problems and new rules for all. An ignorant nation will never be free! TJ
