I think the dash on my 579 moved about 1/4 inch going over rail road tracks lol.

I should have bought that T660, single turbo'ed the C15 and it could have been a good time.

I'm starting to think my Volvo isn't so bad, reminiscing about all the trucks i've driven. The dealers/corporate are just so brutal tho!

My 579 is a higher end setup with the top interior, maybe that makes the differenc compared to a cheaper run of the mill company version..
The steering column vibrates and rattles once in a while but a quick touch in the right spot and that disappears.
Where does the water leak in? I haven't had any trouble like that as of yet.

Yeah that seems to quiet my steering column up for a bit too.

It drips down from around the interior light (the one on the ceiling between the seats). It also comes down onto the driver door near the handle and controls. Below the CB is another spot, which happens to drip right into the cupholders.

I had a Western Star before this and it would do the same. As I said earlier, it's usually after I've been up in some cold temps then get down into a warm State and it starts to thaw out. There's no issues when it rains.

And that is so sad. You buy a piece of equipment for upwards of 150K, more now, and they act like they're doing you a favor. "Your dashboard rattles?" sorry, we had 20 trucks come off the line that day and you're the only one complaining", I'm sure there are some good dealers out there that take care of their customers though.

Not with Volvo, I've been to most of them Canada and the US, absolute worst I've ever deal with in my entire life. (Cars/Pickups/Farm Equipment/Motorcycles/Class 8 Trucks). I'm now only dealing with Volvo certified independent shops, that can do warranty work. Of course those are few and far between, and none are close to where I live, so I have to coordinate with my company to get the truck fixed.

$267 000 out the door for a pike spec W900/T680 Next Gen from KW, not happening BUD! I guess we will run the old Volvo until she breaks in half.

But but but you get the 35 grand in taxes back. Used to be able to buy a new Int Transtar back in the 70's for about the same as you pay in taxes now. Crazy !

Yep, you get to front those taxes, and pay the 6-8% interest on them for the next 5 years, even tho you can get them back in 12-16 months; it's all such a scam.

Equipment and operating expenses up, rates flat, yep this is sustainable!
