Hey Brick you could have added a smiley with that:biggrin_25523:
I did make good money on that run too, even on the back-haul:yes2557:
Lurch, it's in the central valley but not in Fresno or Modesto.
It's in a very small town that makes Mayberry look like L.A.:biggrin_25517:

It's not that bad. Sure, sometimes it sucks to have to tarp in that hot old sun, but the money's better in the flatbed biz than the dump biz. And most of the people I deal with are much more professional and just all around better people to deal with too.

Those tire were a royal pain:biggrin_2556:

Ron - that's as close as I can guess. It's been.. um.. a few years, shall we say, since I was last in CA.

One thing I did notice - struck me as a little odd - we have virtually identical little LED flashlights. (I call 'em schwag lights, since they're typically handed out like pens and buttons.) I find mine just about perfect for when I crawl under and make sure the 5th wheel has locked on the kingpin.

And, if anybody cares, my pics are from east of the Mississippi. I don't know any name for the locale - just the state, road, and mile markers.

Like I said - Monte Eagle. That would be I-24 in Tenn around the 135 stick.

    Up around Chico, then?

Brickman - yeah, got my CDL A on 28 April, full set of endorsements. Hired on with May Trucking on 29 May (auspicious start - May in May). Finished my first two weeks of training this past Saturday morning.

Lots of fun to be had, so far.

379 Pete - ah, so that's the name of that place. Yeah. Pleasant little drive.
