No doubt. My largest complaint here in Florida are the four-wheelers trying to merge form the on-ramps. The majority, for some unknown reason I have yet to fathom, incorrectly believe we are supposed to yield to them. When I can, I will but it amazes me how many will go right onto the shoulder when I can't slow fast enough for them or get over in the next lane because a vehicle is there, then speed up, pass me and give me a dirty look or the one-fingered salute. Even when I didn't drive truck I knew enough never to challenge something that was that much larger and heavier than my vehicle.

Yeah, that drives me nuts too. Probably one of my biggest pet peeves...well that and drunk drivers.

Slow trucks should be in the middle lane. Thats where all the slow cars are. Everyone else can go around either side.

No, because the trucks passing to the left would get 3rd lane violations if caught. Keep right except to pass. Law in most states. Common sense in all.

Exactly. On July, 1, 2013, Florida enacted a much-needed and long overdue law where slow drivers (10 mph or slower) driving under the speed limit are ticketed. Cops are enforcing this on the Interstates especially in regard to the middle and left lane.

Now THIS sounds like a "revenue raiser" that might actually do something besides put money in states coffers. However, what happens if your truck is governed to where you CAN'T run that fast. (I don't know what the FL speed limits are.)

Then you need to keep that truck in the right lane, and you won't have a problem.

My truck is governed at 65. I stay out of the hammer lane except to pass. If riding the middle lane would impede traffic, I stay out of it as well most of the time except for some troublesome spots like coming through Orlando by Disney World where I run the middle lane for a few miles because of how close the exits and on-ramps are to each other and the sheer volume of vehicles entering the Interstate. Florida speed limit is 70 MPH on Interstates unless posted otherwise.
