That’s a hilarious statement if you know how to run a business. You have a fixed operating cost of $4000 a month for what is a rental truck and if you basically run the wheels off and actually pay twice as much as the truck worth you have a wore out truck worth basically nothing. You say you’re running a business with no control of what your rate is leaving that to what is your customer to dictate what your rate will be. Where is the know how to run a business?

My response got censored, and removed, this will probably be my last post, as I will get banned just like @markealy. My numbers speak for them self. I sorry some people are not smart enough to follow a straight line. 715 a week is 2860 in 4 weeks, I’m not splitting hairs like someone trying to prove he knows something, to do a month at 30 or 31 days. I think I may have said it was 2845, sue me for a mistake. But when you come in attacking my numbers and make idiotic statements about freight rates and not knowing how to run a business. Expect me to slap you stupid.
Pretending like you know what you’re talking about is only an embarrassment on you.
$188k on a brand new truck is not over paying.
270k miles on a truck in 3 years is not worn out abused equipment. It still has a lot of warranty left.
Im sure I’ll be out of here after going off on the mod that can’t see I was defending my statement and pointing out a troll but it is what it is.
today I bought a 2nd truck, that’s how bad LP is… -
Wow dude. Why so angry?
If you're successful, and it seems you are, watssup with the anger?
I did it with Schneider on 2 different trucks and was successful. Got no apologies to make, got no excuses to give.
I won, and I'm happy.
Why aren't you?Long FLD and Old_n_gray Thank this. -
No reason to argue or get upset. A LP is a good fit for some and for some it is a bad idea. There is not a 100% right or wrong answer with anything like this because it has so many variables, no two people will have the exact same result.

My truck is not over priced nor am I over paying for it. 715x143+85,812=188,057. Please someone, anyone tell me how that’s too much for a 2022 Peterbilt 579 with a Cummins X15? When I got it had 1051 miles
Please tell me how a tractor that is 2 years old with 193k miles is worn out. Anyone?
Anyone able to tell me in this market when you’re leased onto a carrier, how you dictate rates to the customer?
The how to run a business comment. Let’s break it down for those that can’t do. I search the load board, I find a load I like, that I want to haul for the advertised rate, I determine if my hos will allow me to do the load in the timeframe needed. I choose freight based off my desired revenue, available hours, fuel on route, weather on route. I choose where to fuel, what route I take. I pay for my fuel, I send my receipts to my accountant, I negotiate rates with brokers. I take care of the maintenance on the tractor, I buy the second truck, hire the driver, I plan the loads on that truck, I pay that driver, I manage that drivers fuel solutions, I pay my taxes, I run a balanced ifta and yeah I do it all for 2 trucks…
do you even have a CDL? You’re probably some hotshot that’s never drove a big rig or managed a business. It’s ok Jon Snow, we understand.Richierich76 Thanks this. -
Let's wrap this one up.
Bean Jr., Opus, Old_n_gray and 2 others Thank this.
