I get this when I turn my APU power switch off, like AI said....I usually just turn the switch back on, then turn the control panel off and back on and it resets. Sometimes I have to hit the reset button under my bunk, not every time though.

I have a thermo king tripac and when i stopped my truck today it would not start the display says eng i don't have any experience with these units please any help would be appreciated. When i try to shut the control panel off and restart the main power comes on then when i turn on the apu the ac blower starts then when the motor is supposed to start nothing happens accept it looks like either 317 or 17 comes up on the display then eng and a red fault light comes on. i have a volvo 780 i looked under the bunk were the blower and filters are for the ac unit but i could not find anything that looked like an electronic controller or reset switch does anyone know were it might be?

Go outside - pull top cover - check the on and off switch behind it is 2 wires , mine did this and a wire was broke off the switch not completing the current same thing as if its turned off by the switch , it throws the eng code
if wire is broke take both off wire nut them together and it should work
** note this is only if a wire is broke off the switchZayah Thanks this. -
Starter fusible link, eng switch and a couple others.
If you get a red error light and eng, you need go verify oil first and coolant.
Then you also have to hot the reset button ON the control box typically under the bunk.
Past that... Are you a company driver or O/O. I don't want to give you something that's gonna get you in hotwater. -
Yeah reset is usually under bunk. You won't see it because it has a little protective wall around it so it doesn't get hit with falling tools. Mine is on passenger box, back right corner on the floor

Already answered so I deleted it thanks!

Independent O/O After I posted this trend, somebody suggested the "reset bottom" and that did it. However now I know it needs coolant. The problem is that I touch 4 dealers already and nobody has the time to bother with that....
the fan works but no cold air. and...the webasto attached to it is not working either. No a happy summer so far with the high temps.

You can add Freon yourself
pull bottom cover - freon high low is right there .. I add a can when low on mine myself -
The webasco
look at the following -
fuel pump mounted under cab
glow plug in heater
screen in fuel line to the same fuel pump
mine quit I replaced all the following and it worked
also :
by you heater you will see a large plug with a slide out lock on it I think it's red .. Disconnect this for 1 minute as it will clear the memory to your heaterVIAJERO1A Thanks this.
