I have a brand new truck, first driver. Assuming brand new APU. Tripac Evolution.

It worked great for a while. When it needed a regen, the steps worked nicely. This round of needed regen, however, fails. No matter what I do. It simply will not regen.

it gives the ENG code. Sometimes it starts, then atops after a few minutes, throwing that code. Other times it throws that code without starting.

I have turned off dash and main switch for hours. No resolution. It is a DPF issue, since the status light has the blinking red fault (1 flash, 2 flashes, over and over). From what I can gather, that fault is preventing the regen. I have cycled the panel many times, and that fault will not clear. Nothing I have tried after days of Google and the TK instruction to clear the code is not working.

when this first started, it began to regen but atopped. Ever since, this issue has plagued me.

what am I missing? I use it a lot, but surely it can’t be broken already.

What about warranty? You have code 12.

Pretty sure there’s some type of warranty. It’s a Penske lease truck (I’m company). I was kinda hoping I missed something and not have to take it in.

The code you reference: closed air line. How does one tell, and can I resolve it? Is the valve easy to accidentally move while pretripping the unit?

What about the regen light? It’s on, but won’t regen

Air Control Relay Closed - relay meaning electrical relay. Not sure about yours but they used to be soldered on, not like relays in the truck that can be pulled out and changed. Regen is for highway speeds for at least 1 hour. See attachment. Read it carefully. This from page 1 on the left.

The Code 12 may be preventing a regen.

That's the same PDF I have, and I did figure the code was preventing regen. I did the procedure to clear the code, but it's not working. Code is still there, even after shutting the unit off with it's main switch for hours.

Is this beyond solving this myself?

Yes, unless you get a diagnostic manual on how to resolve the code or try the 'just answer' website. The relays are soldered to a circuit board so even if that were the problem the part would be big $$ to buy yourself. Even if you were able to clear the code it would come right back. Clearing the code is more for after a repair is made, then the code clearing process will remove the code. The code is a Shutdown code, a problem so severe that the unit should not even run. It's not supposed to run to protect the unit.
I found a manual online for the non DPF Evolution but it does not cover the codes for the DPF unit.
Make sure to post whatever resolves the problem.
