The three I've been with,,,,same story, different truck. All "they" care about is the load, are you getting there on time. THATS IT!!!!

Volvos with the auto aren't bad. Sometimes they're too sensitive though. Too much throttle the truck can LURCH. Too little throttle and the truck can give you a clutch overload/overheat warning .lol

 

I like them because I can easily change gears on a grade, usually the low setting locks you in 8th.
I can easily upshift to 9, then choose low again to get 8th back.
Tried grabbing a lower gear on cabbage patch once with a manual...coasted the last 2 miles out..

 

Why burn up your brakes before the end of the ride?
