you ever rode in an ambulance, i rode 25 miles and it cost me 800 dollars. thats like 32 dollars a mile. spent 30 minutes seeing doc cost me 500 dollars, thats 1000 dollars an hour.

I know it will be tremendously hard for you, but one day you will have to accept the fact that USA and Canada are not...repeat ARE NOT the ONLY TWO countries in the world. Once you are comfortable with that, the next step would be learning that NOT ALL of other countries are SOCIALIST countries either.
And by the way...how many times have you been seeking medical help in Canada though you KNOW ALL ABOUT how it really works there FOR EVERYBODY?
And one more thing...must be pretty great life in Canada...when you need some serious medical help you simply save some moneys and come to the USA to get treated. Around 50 millions of Americans today can just dream about it...maybe they should go to Canada to work in order to afford US medical treatments??

 

exactly...5 years ago my best friend as a former cancer patient spent a night (1 night!!!) in a Omaha hospital for couple of tests...$11,000.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then she decided to buy insurance...now with "full" coverage three months ago she spent about 2 and a half hrs in hospital for tests. This time the bill was "only" $6,500.00. "Luckily" she was insured now so this time she had to pay "just a fraction of it" in the amount of almost $5,000.00 and the insurance company "generously" accepted to take care of the rest (15 hundred).

By the way, what is the point of starting and owning a business if the government is going to tell you how to run it.

Equal division of profit? If you helped start the business then I could see a equal distribution depending on the investment made. But as a employee you come in and interview and they tell you what the job pays and what benefits you will receive. If you don't like it then you walk. If they cut your pay, bennys, hours etc... after you hire on then you walk. It's called self determination.

What is it with these Socialist who seem to think that companies just pop out of no where or only should exist to further their lifestyle?

If a group of workers want to start a co-op and split the profits thats fine. But You want someone to do all the work for you starting a business and then give money above your agreed to salary upon hire? Sorry but a employee is not a partner, they are the HIRED help.

Nanny states don't work. The only economic system that works IS capitalism. Regulate criminal activity? fine, but the profits belong to the owner to do as they see fit. You are owed no more then what you agreed to when you were hired, period.

 

When you get in a ambulance you are not just paying for you. You are paying for all the people who did not pay.

Guys,,,You all miss the point. Capitalism is the only way to fly, yes owners get greedy, but WE the drivers are building our own mess. Look at the strike forum. NOONE will stick together. If I dont like something, I go to my boss, if that dosnt work I move on, if I cant get hired I find something else to do. Entitlement is the root of all evil here, Noone owes us anything. MY father AND your fathers AND grandfathers understood what broke is. People are talking about the "HAVES" and the "HAVE NOTS" going into class warfare, the have nots that think life owes them something can kiss my --- . My grandfather raised his family in a way messed up world, my father raised us through the next bout of socialism. I owned my own company at 20 years old, It took till I was 30 to make 100,000 a year and then when I finally BOUGHT a house, I did it like I was making 40. JUST IN CASE!!! I drive a USED car, JUST IN CASE, I dont buy things without paying attention to what I make, which is by the way less than most here. Why in gods creation should I pay your mortage because your stuipid"yes I said stuipid" I dont care if you didnt read the fine print or that you got fired and couldnt find another job. Yes I do feel bad about the bad circumstaces today. But if my dumb --- can make it work I dont get why other people think Ishould pay for there lives? Im the same way about theives...What makes you think that you are entitled to what I have? I hate demacrats and republicans they all work for themselves,(and by the way can all the twits quit worring adout whos president and get the real problem straight....
