Chances are good he was tellin the truth! Hell when I started back in 96 would do Dodge City to Jersey with just a stop for fuel. Ahh the good times! Did Yuma to Atlanta a few times, get last pick on midnight Friday and be in Atl Sunday morn around 10 or so. Don't have that much fire left most days!

Most recent was a onion load on flatbed. Trying to stay ahead of the cold front coming down. Washington to St.Louis. Didn't want my onions to freeze. Got behind a hopper bottom in WY and trip'l dig'd it across that state. I'm too skeered to run front door like that! Got there a day early and got unloaded.

There've been lots. Used to do 3 trash loads to the landfill back in the 80s, 12+ hour day, landfill only open 6-3.
Hauled stone in the 80s for one quarry during the day then hauled for another as long into the night as I could until I got tired, usually around 1am, back to load at 7am again to do it all over.

I was running 1680 in two days up to about 4 years ago....That was with about 12 key drops all over Florida.
Then come back and get a 10 stop AL route and done Wed.night. 3 day weekends and making 1500 a week....I miss that company..The trucks would run!

My longest was from LA to Vegas to Greensboro NC with maybe 5 hours nap in Arkansas......Can't do that anymore!
