I concur on the spare key....always have one in my pocket - NOW

I used to bring my pup with me when I worked local; at the time was hauling wood chips - was next up on the dumper (5 trucks lined up behind me on Friday afternoon) and when I got out to prepare my trailer for dumping she got excited , jumped up on the door panel and locked my ### out of the truck!

Made lots of friends that day haha. I tried to coax her into hitting the power window switch for 20 mins or so while waiting for a millwrite to show up with a slim jim

Is that also the night you bought a new side window?

I got real lucky. There was a mechanic shop at the yard where I was unloading and there just happened to be ONE guy in there. It was well after midnight and I don't know or care what he was doing in there. He produced a slim jim kit and that's all I needed. Of course the trailer was long empty by the time I got it open but no harm no foul. Lol.

Drive downtown Duluth after an ice storm. You guys think you’re manly in the mountains. Try that.

Spun out no less than 15 times. Found a hill I could climb and would just zig zag through the city blocks until I got to my stop. Good thing the grease was pretty solid and coming out at 2000 pound ice cubes. Would have sucked more if it was surging.

Used to haul used cooking oil. It sucked, I would go clear up to the Canadian border and have to be checking for bears as I opened up the grease traps.

I would have tried to kill you.

Then, once I'd calmed down, I'd have bought you a beer for a prank well played.

    ..

And then, just as you'd forgotten about the whole thing, I'd have sent you a bill for laundering my underwear.

    ;)

Best prank I ever saw, a friend of mine, and my boss back in the day, got a out of service decal somehow that wasn't filled out. He filled it out and put it on a owner operator's dump truck in his yard, borrowed his wife's phone for the morning, had it's phone number on the OOS decal. He egged him on and built the guy up till he decided to call the number, then snuck away, really good at changing his voice too. That had to have been the funniest 10 minutes that whole summer!

Alrite here it goes Russ ...this may get a little long so bear with me @x1Heavy lol.
In my Cornhusker days I used to haul out of Arkansas glass in Jonesboro occasionally and they had a 2 drop Secaucus nj and Brooklyn ny load so I jumped on it !
A couple days later I got to the Vince Lombardi service plaza on the NJTP and called Secaucus for directions ( pre GPS days)..and a very Asian sounding guy answered the fone and insisted I wait at the Lombardi for him so I could follow him to his warehouse , he also insisted on bringing me coffee and donuts and bagels of which he brought enough of for 3 people .
We leave the Lombardi with him leading the way with his flashers on driving about 40 mph and pissing off everyone around us .
We arrive at his Secaucus warehouse and they yank it right off .
Now he says you follow me to Brooklyn ware house ! ...I said dude ill just meet you there and ill probably beat you there ...I waved at him as I passed him on the GWB and don't know how that little guy did it but he beat me to Brooklyn .
Sooo after I get all staged up at the Brooklyn whse says my helpers go to lunch. ..what you want for lunch Mr driva ?
I told him jokingly I like bud lite , corned beef , roast beef and milk and without a word off he goes .
About 45 minutes later he comes back with 2 grocery bags from a local deli filled with milk , bud lite , corned beef and roast beef sandwiches and says here for trip home !
I helped them unload the glass and when we were done he shoved a hundred doller bill in my hand smiling saying no broken glass ! You come back !
Then he wanted to lead me back to jersey lol.
That will never happen again and not long after Cornhusker went down the tubes .
