I always walk wide around the front when I have the hood up on my pickup so I don't knock my head on the nonexistent fender mirrors.

    My friend experienced this today...
I guess there is one in every class...the guy who knows everything about everything and wants you to know how much he knows. :biggrin_2551: Well, after Mr. Know-it-all had annoyed the fire out of virtually everyone else all week, the instructor got him good. During the post-trip inspection when he was doing the engine section, the instructor asked him to locate the spark plugs. :biggrin_2557: He proceeded to dive right in declaring that he knew just where to find them...after a few minutes of searching, he declared that he thought he had located the wire going to one of them...he searched diligently for close to ten minutes! :biggrin_25513: After his folly was revealed he then declared that he knew it all along but was searching for the glow plugs 'cause he was certain that was what the instructor had meant. :biggrin_2554: :biggrin_25526:

    Priceless!

After reading all 8 pages of this, I'm suddenly scared. I think I'm gonna hang up the keys in the morning when I get back, and go to McDonald's and demand $15 an hour

Every time I got home from the road and drove somewhere in my pickup, I would have to get out and check for flat tires half mile down the road, felt like I was driving on flat tires for some reason.

The question that I was amazed by: "Who will I be driving for? " Probably half the class that I was in had answered an ad in a newspaper or somewhere. The school set them up with transportation to school and lots of promises. They assigned them to an employer AFTER the contract was signed. I about fell out of my chair.
