As someone that has actually run 5000 mile weeks Ill never understand the old timers that want to get back to that. We aren't slaves. Work smarter not harder.

 

This is one old timer who doesn't want to see weeks like that ever again.

 

While I don't disagree, at the current rate of May 2500 miles a week it takes twice as many trucks to do the same job. No wonder truckstops are so full.

I never minded 800-1000 miles a day, but I would make my turn and be home within 10 days.

I don't want to do it again though. I was younger then.
