    Video games:

I can kill the 10 hours easily playing NASCAR '09 or NCAA '09 (football).

    Internet:

I'll fire up my laptop, hook up my Verizon WiFi card, and have internet virtually anywhere I park at. Great way to kill time when stuck at a customer for a while.

    Phone:

Thank god for Verizon's pick 5 and unlimited Verizon to Verizon calling. I blow up 3,000+ minutes a month and send 1,000+ text messages a month, with a 500 minute monthly plan. As a OTR driver, you have plenty of time to talk. :)

As far as a bike they are good excersize and a way to get places the Rig won't fit. Even the best truckstops get old after awhile. We have a small BBQ in the headache rack. A short trip to a local food store and dinner your way is on the table! A mesquite grilled steak is a real treat. We had a rack made behind the sleeper. About 50.00 Take the front wheel off the bike. Thieves are less likely to steal the bike. A backpack will hold a lot of food. Once years ago a hot shot assistant manager punk told us the parking lot was for their customers. After showing him a fuel stub for 400.00 in fuel from the night before, he wimpered and left, tail between his legs. Hope his acne clears up. :biggrin_25523:

There's a really cool website that I like to waste time on called "The Trucker's Report".

    Wait a minute, What?..

I bought a folding bike and keep it on the floor in front of the passenger seat.

I have kindle on my iPad and read a lot.. Lately I have been studying to upgrade my amateur radio license to extra class..

You may find me in a rest area with my BBQ cooker out and smoking something good to eat

I feel the need to comment on the alcohol question.... If you have been drinking at all, I suggest you stay someplace other than your truck. Most companies have zero tolerance for drug or alcohol use, so why take the risk?
When I have spare time on the road, I sleep, watch movies, surf the internet, read, or go for a walk.

For the beer question, if i run outta hours and stay in a hotel for my 10 and they have a resturant/bar, i might have a beer with dinner, then go to my room and sleep. DOT says not while on duty or four hours prior to coming on duty. So if my beer, one beer, is drank with 9.5 hours left on my ten hour break, its ok. If your the type to get smashed, wait for your 34.
