Knight aint the cream of the crop, but I can gurantee.. he aint got good options, he will need to put in his time, he's 49 yrs old, CR england wont treat him with as much respect as knight.

Well genius whats your positive help for him being in the SLC area,
what do u have to offer, to him? Now dont get tunnel vision and nervous when someone asks for something positive:biggrin_25520:What would u do, GENIUS:biggrin_25522:

Hmmm could follow your advise and go with these and go belly up and hate trucking or could look for more options. Myself I would keep looking. I am not from that area but know that if you stick your head where others have lost their's; chances are you will lose yours. Now what would you do Einstein?

well i gave him, what i could offer, being a newbie.. a stepping stone..
im not from the area but know how freight moves there and whats in his grasp.. i was positive.. to keep him moving forward, i warned him what CR would do, i gave him the best i could, without being from that area, u gave a response that would come from a monkey on a cb. i think u could do better, if u turned down the mic gain, and said something constructive!

Just one more horn blow here, Ive been with knight twice..
my first time my little ole slow truck, would send me from hou, 2 columbus, charlotte, atlanata and home.. Mon thru Fri.. i would be having dinner with my family on Fri evenings, while all those fast trucks, got u away from where you wanted to be.. And SLC is a good area for Knight.. just what i know... heard and seen..

You told him to go to a company you quit. That makes sense. Going back to a company you quit makes even more sense. When I leave a company I have to ask myself, why did I leave???? Hmmm, I have no suggestions for that area, but I know the rep for both companies that is why I warned him! You seem to be one that likes to keep making the same mistake. I will be sure to get advice from someone else!:biggrin_25523: Here is the deal, I offer a lot of advise to a lot of drivers. Some is positive, some is negative. Myself if I am looking at a company I would rather someone give me the low down on a company than nothing at all. At least I would know the down side. Now sticking your head in the sand does not hide anything, but your vision. Hopefully if he goes this route and goes belly up he will remember who warned him and who suggested this future headache!:biggrin_25523:

O genius, didnt want to go into details, but yes after 14 months i quit and went local, for over a year. After my marriage and all kinds of other things settled down, i went back.. But what i found my 2nd time around was they tightened up on logs and hrs.. I got shut down twice, pissed me off.. i run loose leaf, what can i say.. I told them i cant work like this because the clock will win.. this was out of the katy term. i put in my 2 week notice, they left me standing as a part time employee, the safety man even said he could tell i was old school.. well anyways i am.. i get it done.. If he would go 2 knight in SLC he would be alright, as a new driver... now banana juice, what have u added 2 help him, dont concentrate on me.. It was about him.. :biggrin_25526:

I am old school too, but did you have a typo and mean to type old fool? You are not helping him if you send him there unless you want to starve him!
