    Thats why I am asking questions to find weather or not i wanna be bothered with it or stay a company driver . I know im competent, thats not a question.

    Don't waste your money. If you can put together enough money for a transfer you might make money. Ever notice how whipped most of those dump trucks are? Same with the six wheel tractors pulling double bottoms. Most of those guys are lucky to gross $600 a day. Put fuel in the tank and now you're down to $300. Better not blow a tire. The only guys making money run transfers for the rock plants. The rest are looking for nickels under the couch every night to pay for repairs. Good luck.

    You should be able to do around $800 a day which is still low. The upshot is you won't be beating the truck to death offroading on all the site jobs. Now is not a good time to buy anything. If it rains this winter you will be screwed. Keep running someone else's truck for now, do more research and then buy something.
