    55k is a mere bag of shells for an owner operator, just ask any company driver.

    Prices are all over the place on trailers. There is a 13' TK on truck paper, 26' well and they are asking $79k for it. There is an 06' that appears to be the same trailer only 7years older, they want $65k for it. That's crazy, if that's the way its going to be then I think new is the only option for me.

    Not sure if these would interest you, but All Crane has 2 Talbert drop side hyd lowboys for sale on their website. They are three axles with hookup for a fourth. Also, the hyd tanks are mounted on the trailer, all you need to mount on the truck is PTO, pump, and hoses up to the catwalk. All our trucks are set up that way so we can maximize frame rail space, especially on the four axle tractors. They are 45 ton, but I don't know how long the well is. They may have been reconditioned already also, supposed to be on a 5 year cycle.

    With a setup like that, I believe you can mount the pony motor on the trl. neck and just plumb it into the hyd. lines

    I miss read. I thought he already had a wet kit on his truck, and he could take his tank off then.

    As far as staying running in the winter we use ATF fluid in the tanks, that is also what we used when I logged. Doesn't stiffen up like HYD fluid, it just looks like a crime scene when you blow a hose.

    We had that happen on a mid trl. years ago. The one line on the rear section had a hole rub through. When the steer was engaged it looked like a mass murder had happened. Made the turn and off we went

    Oscar, please allow me to help you with this;
    Step 1: Step out of your truck
    Step 2: Take a good look around
    Step 3: Ahh, there is is...
    Step 4: Walk over towards it, that's right, now your getting it...
    Step 5: Bang your head against that brick wall until you knock some sense into yourself
    Step 6: Now that you've come to your senses, call the wife and tell her you're all better now...:biggrin_2559:

    ...but seriously, if your really gonna do it, PM me and I'll get some of the better order spec sheets I've got around and I'll email them and some pics of a really well thought out one that works like a dream
