I love flatbed, prefer OD or heavy haul but just coming back from the oil field so having to show the folks I still know what I'm doing. Sure dealing with frozen tarps and straps are a pain but most flatbedders are in a whole lot better shape than box yankers. The only other wagons I will pull anymore are tankers just because when either flat or tank show up at either end we are a welcome sight and treated with respect by shippers and recievers.

I don't think the company I signed on with cares about age but they do care about your safety record, in my orientation group there were quite a few of us 40 plus guys in there.Big Papaxx Thanks this.

Here is a better example... -5f with -30 wind chills. Miserable weather for a sunny, sand in your flip flops, Fla guy.

I was hoping we could throw some real life pics of flatbedding. I almost posted our SLC pic. Lol
Hurst Thanks this. -
I used to be used to it.
Living in Fla for 18 yrs will acclamate a guy to warmer weather and feel severely uncomfortable in anything below 60f. Its why I like to park and sit out the winter where I can BBQ and run the track all year long.
Its a rough life.. but I manage.

LOL.. that was nothing. It snowed 8 inches and melted to nothing in under 2 hours.
I only wish I had videoed your mastery at backing on slippery surfaces.
Hurstpeterbilt_2005 Thanks this.
