#### you.
It's been 3.5 years since I moved to Texas, when I drive down from Michigan, I routed myself through Chicago and so I could get me some deep dish pizza.
Now I want deep dish.

They do have some pretty good pizza joints.
How ever,.. the best pizza I have ever had was in Washington state. Home made sauce, all fresh ingredients, home made crust, fresh hand cut pepperoni,.. nothing from a can or processed. Oh,.. and was only $12 for a large.
Florida sucks when it comes to pizza. I've been there since 1999,.. traveled all over and have yet to find a single good fresh pizza I would recommend to someone else.
Back when I lived in Md there used to be a place called Shakeys Pizzeria. Not sure what they are like now,.. but 15 - 20 yrs ago they were pretty good.

The first time I had Chicago deep dish pizza was my second best pizza experience. My best experience was right here in Texas!
I actually made it myself on the grill using a sidebox smoker. It has the perfect amount of smoke flavor. I made the dough from scratch with yeast so it was nice and fluffy, topped with cheese pepperoni, baco,, tomatoes and pineapples.
My old landlord said it was the best pizza he ever ate. I got my own smoker grill now but I can't get it right compared to his grill.
I think I might try smoking a pizza tomorrow. I found a pic of it.
