I believe Schneider has some type of special training course for the tank drivers. They sent a guy I knew to PA for like a week or 2. Then out with a trainer.
Thinking about going OTR

Sorry, I keep forgetting that I came onto schneider with experience.

I'm guessing that 2 week orientation pays about 80 dollars a day? Then then your out with a trainer you make like .25 a mile?

Actually, Orientation for tankers, little to no experience, is 11 days then out with a TE for 10 or more days depending on how well you do. At orientation they have you drive a 53' van for 2 days to see how you drive, if ok, then they put a mt tanker on to see how you do making real tight turns as it is different than a van . Then you get the full tanker, to see if you can handle the surge! Have to pass another driving test with the tanker, if you pass they teach the unloading. I just finished and am waiting on my TE now. And its $80 until after your final Skills Quailifing Test when you finish with the TE.
C & C Thanks this.
