This is a firsthand experience I'm about to share re: family dollar. Last night I was given a Rochester n y 2 stop, and family dollar is supposed to keep track of which stores are 48' and others that can fit a 53'.
My trainer indicated to the supervisor at JBH that "look, this store can barely fit a '48 and you're giving us a '53" This was for a 3 stop Albany.
My load to Rochester is a '48 foot store. Family Dollar is not keeping track which stores have the appropriate fitting trailers. It is random - here's your load, if it's a 53' tough ####.
Not only does this account have the highest workman comps claims, but I have seen numerous Family Dollar stores with trailer hits on the edges of the walls. Do not even entertain the idea of doing this account. I know some of you will say man up, but I already have 2 accidents on my record, (deer strikes and a Long Issland curb) So I am not risking it. No thank you
Thinking about it!
