Its almost too easy, too tempting! The stories I could tell...
So, B, may I leave my truck at your house and borrow "our" Caddy when I next take hometime?

Hey Bluebonn, I'll take you up on it. I drove for 12 years then got into sales which eventually led into management. After 10 years, I've had enough of the corporate office life. I left and have not looked back. Getting back behind the wheel again. Problem is, even with all those years under my belt, I either have to go back to school again or drive a garbage truck. Stevens and FFE both said I'd have to go through their school even though I already have a CDL. Here's where Swift comes in. I will be in Lancaster on July 2'nd. The recruiter told me that if I pass a road test, he will process me through, send me to orientation, and then out with a trainer. I'm 43, live in Houston, married, she has a good job, and my kids are in college and out of the house. It's to time to get back to doing what I was born to do. I certainly don't want to be one of those guys who has to go through several trainers to get through the training period. I need somebody who I can get along with and is willing to take an old hat and let him hone his skills to where they once were. Do I meet the criteria to keep you training for at least one more round?
inkeper Thanks this. -
Hopefully, we coincide... I need the next few weeks at my job because there is a lot of overtime and I just finished paying off ALL my debt so now I need to put some in my savings -- and enough to be able to pay COBRA
but the offer still stands just to talk about the trucking business and what not... nice caddy -
I have the opposite problem. Trying to get a trainer that is professional. I got my CDL yrs ago with Schneider and lucked out with an okay trainer. I stopped driving over 11 yrs ago but want to go back to it. One of my worries is the type of trainer I would get. I am looking at Millis, Star, Roehl and a few others. What do you think of the chances in getting a poor trainer at Swift are. If WIA funding doens't go thru I will have to go to a company school.
Thanks in advance to any replies I get. -
It will be around the 3rd week in July before current student is done

Hey bluebonn,
I start at the Phoenix academy on 6/25, and if what my recruiter told me is correct, I will be ready to go out with a mentor on or around 7/17, the third week of July. Let me know if this is something that could possibly work.
Thanks! -
Good luck with those random students, I know how u feel about that. Lately I have been getting some great students hope my luck don't run out soon.

Bad news guys I decided to go to the Bahamas in August for a week so I won't return to training until September. But I will post in this thread when I get back. If I pick up new student..Student would have to hang out in Bahamas
