Ok Maverick drivers. I have some questions for you.
    How is freight?
What is the difference between being a student and a trainee?
    How is the equipment?
Do they hire out of the Raleigh NC area?
What are the average miles per week out there?
Do any of you have any pointers?
I am just trying to figure out which place is going to be right for me, I am getting out of the military so I need something I can actually go to when I get out and rely on it.

    Thanks all.

    milskied,
Check out the hiring map on web site. Not sure but think you are in zone! They usually average about 2200miles. Have been lookin really hard at them but hav decided to hold off on trucking right now!

    Freight is up
Student is when you are going to a cdl school. Trainee is when you are out on the truck with your trainer
Equipment is excellent! They spent alot of money on extra safety devices in the truck. I drive an 07 Columbia.
I believe they do hire out of Raleigh NC
    I am averaging between 2200 and 2700 a week.
Pointers......read my post on heading to Little Rock from the beginning...it will answer most if not all of your questions.
If you come to Maverick, be prepared to work hard!

Working hard sounds like what I want. I would rather work and get paid for it then go somewhere that I work and make next to nothing or just dont work because there is none.

You can drive a lot of miles and not have to work too hard....aside from the stress associated with just driving one of these rigs. That is not a slam at those who drive coast to coast and have no touch freight. Just pointing out the difference.

I just talked to them today and they said I would not be able to start there until I have my DD214 in hand which means I cant start while I am on my terminal leave which I have 41 days of. TMC said they could take me before I have it in hand.
