We've been living on wishes and prayers for the last couple years and our financial situation can't get much worse, even with the blow TransAm will deal on the way out. We've set ourselves up to ride it out and survive ((no frivolous spending, just bare minimum survive with basic needs)) until I can get going. Why he went and got his CDL and went OTR when he had no intention of doing it for any length of time is beyond me. In my eyes, the loan is an extra payment to make each month, but whatever. I can't claim to have him completely figured out, sometimes I just have to let him do what he does and it generally works out. If he'd listened to me in the first place, we wouldn't have to worry about him breaking lease and could just continue moving forward...

Why on earth would he sign a lease if he had no intention on completing it. You do not have to answer that
Joker85 Thanks this. -
as we used to say in sales
"he met a salesman!" -
He signed it intending to complete the lease. But when they called the trainees back to the yard, unless they were leasing they were gonna make them wait for a truck and he wanted to get to making money because I had just had a baby and we were in the red. Gotta do what ya gotta do.

TransAm should NOT put anything on his DAC about breaking the lease, that has nothing to do with his driving record. But if they do, dispute it and have it removed. Tell them you will take legal action .. They will remove it in a heartbeat.

Thanks for the heads up Paloma. I appreciate it. TransAm supposedly has a walk out clause in that there are no repercussions for breaking the lease if he gives and works out a two week notice (which he intends to). And we already know to kiss his last paycheck or two goodbye, because TA will buckle and dime him for everything they can related to that truck.
