Stay a wrench! Naturally I'd say that, and I don't think money is the issue, but for the future, a truck mechanic will be like a GOD, if not already. You will be able to name your price, as opposed to trucking, take what you can get, probably at the bottom. I'm not sure what kind of "tensions" you are experiencing, but would pale in comparison to a truck today. I'd only use trucking as a last resort, you have a skill that will be needed much more in the future, and, AND, you will have that home time you need, not always so with trucking. Good luck.
hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
I think PAM has a day one rider program, but the pay would be sub par.

Couple of issues.... you say 3 or 4 years ago. Was the last time you drove under 3 years or under 4 years? Then also, you have 11 months. You didn't quite get the year experience. Companies, at least mine, will want 1 year experience in the last 3 years to avoid a refresher course. First things first, you'll probably need to see if you need a refresher course. If I'm in your shoes, I'll apply and call all the companies listed above. Then that will give you clarity on whether you even need to do the refresher. Since you're inexperienced, you may not be able to afford to be too picky.
tscottme Thanks this.
