As I said, to each his own.

You sure do seem to THINK you know a lot about my situation, when in fact you know NOTHING about what I do or how much money I make. Intelligent people don't make such wild assumptions.

I have a gig that only 2 other drivers in our company have. It's 100% drop and hook, involves no paperwork, and since I never have to wait to get loaded or unloaded, or deal with customers much at all, I max out my drive clock nearly every day and average OVER 3,000 miles a week.

I'm glad you like your job and I like mine as well.

BTW, If your job really is as good as it seems for you, you really shouldn't have to put down other peoples' jobs to make you feel good about yours. It's rude, unbecoming and completely unnecessary.

Wow flaming again, glad I left truckload , home every weekend. Friday afternoon till Monday pays better than truckload and no forced dispatch, or truckloads forced weekend downtime because they can't find you a load.
Thing must be getting bad there got 2 messages from truckload wanting me to come back. Lol. Wonder who exo us gonna sell them too.

    I don't think I know anything.
Don't get offended I'm not insulting you or trying to in anyway. I happy for you. I want everyone to succeed and have a skill.

This is the thinking of Conway TL thread.

1 of 3 jobs. My point.
You can't honestly say dedicated solo opportunities are abundant outside of Michaels tsc kmart sears. Those like yours are few and far between.

    Overall the company is pits.

Mind telling us all where your route is and who the account is to? Did you hit the jackpot and get a team ups/freight account but can make it with solo hours? Sounds like it.

Personally I prefer more stops like the sears hit 5-6 stores stop pay a day in dallas ain't bad. Drop and hooks kinda suck.

I don't have a set route or specific account. Since I said that I don't deal with paperwork, there can't be any freight involved in what I do, huh?

There are only 3 of us who have this gig.

Although not a gig like mine, they just sent out a QC message the other day asking for people to apply for a number of dedicated positions. So, there are dedicated opportunities available.

    Ack! Talking in riddles...
Anyway here's some facts for any prospectives. Where I get some of my numbers I post.

    .42 x2000 mile guarantee =$ 840
    One day off "guarenteed".
    That's a $140 a day gross.

I put it at 150 because its in a margin of error for 2300 miles avg.

That's what you make as an average Conway dedicated Waco driver. (44k with zero breakdowns)

So not worth putting pants on for.
And it'll take you a couple years to get to .42 CPM.

Of course 700 bucks a week doesn't sound too terrible to a single texas guy with no roots and no state income taxes.

    Sees....
$150 bucks in a slow white truck.

If you have more current information with facts. Then present it so people can make a decision.

Gryphon I think the light bulb went off... You're a mule aren't you ;). Nice.

As for miles, here's my past few months:

Started current gig mid-March; weekends off, extra week off for Thanksgiving.

    11/1/2015 10,908
    10/1/2015 13,174
    9/1/2015 13,688
    8/1/2015 12,310
    7/1/2015 13,478
    6/1/2015 13,610
    5/1/2015 11,966
    4/1/2015 12,581
    3/1/2015 10,913

So, you see there's not a month where I averaged less than 2500 miles per week, with most averaging 3,200+ miles/week, even in the short months of March and November.

As for pay, there's the normal CPM, plus a new "short route" pay for loads <500 miles, a quarterly safety bonus, and an annual productivity bonus.

So, yeah, I make more than $150/day in my slow, white, automated, truck.

And since you started the name calling let me say that "No, I'm not a 'mule'; but it does seem as though you're a 'j@ck@ss'!" ;) (Now don't get mad because, following your lead, I put a smiley face there and that makes it okay to be rude and condescending, right?)

Mule was slang for hauling tractors behind you -.-

Do the math and realize 44k is more than what added up -.-

We both know those bonuses get taxed to hell.

    Conway still sucks.

How dare you call me a democrat :D

There were two sets of messages that went out. One had team opportunities in it, but the other was for solo drivers.
