Thinking of TMC

I've been a reader of the Truckers Forum for the past several months & decided to register last night. Brief history: I retired at a young age after a 25 year career in law enforcement and will be making a decision on a second career in the next 7 to 10 days (waiting to see if an offer comes on a position I interviewed for with the County Attorney's Office). Because of a life-long interest in trucking I've spent the last few months researching the industry and the companies on this forum. I want to thank Rawlco, terrylamar and eckz in particular for the answers they've provided to the many questions asked of them. What I learned from them made it easy for me to decide that TMC would be a company I would be proud to work for. I may be starting Driving School here in Omaha on Jan. 7th, and learned today from my TMC recruiter that TMC approved my application and would pre-hire me if I decide to attend school. Again, I just want to thank everyone for the information you provided,

 

I see that yardbird terrylamar was just on here. How you been?

 

Trying to stay afloat. It isn't going too well. I'm determined to make it work, though I do have thoughts of going back to TMC.

How is your new enterprise working out?

 

It didn't. I went back to maverick after 30 days.

 

Thanks terrylamar. I was gonna do that later when freight picks up. I have a friend who works for them right now and he wants to team with me down the road. I'll see what happens in the future.

 

Sadly TMC as of Monday is putting student apps, well least from NE area on freeze

edit: Recruiter named Joan still did say there accepting but just now from other zones.. Keep trying though

 

I found out today I'm scheduled for Des Moines on the 29th as well FirNa, assuming I pass the license test on Monday I'll be there. I don't expect any trouble with that so chances are I'll be seeing you in Des Moines in a week and a half.
