Any time you can get a good camera, go get it. Consider it a blessing.

I concluded for the purposes of the rather basic Traffic Law a 30 dollar camera will do just fine. But no more than a 100 dollar one because people will try to break in and steal them from you provided they have enough time to do it. Have a laptop or tabliet in the car. the video already on it and in the bank's safe deposit area or your weapons safe at home (With the appropriate dehudifiers)

Throw in another basic camera until traffic court resolves this particulary expensive explosive case.

 

Do the new go pros loop record?
Do they delete oldest file when looping?

I was looking at go pros for a 2nd camera and other security desires. the split windshield and car carrier complicate getting a good wide shot. I want to see further to the sides, hence why I'm leaning towards doing two separate cameras.

 

Our Abrahms, UK Challenger most certaily. (Or is that the Cheiftain? lol. And that blasted krout armor which I call Leopard 5 for lack of a better word. It's VERY VERY GOOD. Kinda scary to think where they are taking design across the ARMY. and the Israeli Merkeva IV's carry 6 of them on a post high enough that whenever they are specificlly buttoned up, each one monitors a part of it's hull, land around it and so on for everything. You are not going to have too many humans parasiting for a ride on the hull when a burst fixes that little problem. The cams are up there like on a 16 foot pole. Not too big or small.

 

They do loop recording. It will record in multiple clips deleting the oldest one as it goes. If I remember correctly, you can even set the clip size by minutes. I have the Hero 3 right now which has all this.
