I still think Edison Motors or Revolt has a good idea. They are making diesel electric trucks just like a locomotive. They are using Scania engines as generators to recharge batteries. So you have all electric trucks including drive axles and electric a/c and power steering everything. When the batteries get low the diesel generator will start to recharge the batteries. You can recharge/full up at any trucks stop as needed. You dot have to worry about running out of batteries or infrastructure upgrading. Edison Motors is building heavy duty logging trucks

No, I dont want taxes to go up. I want the government to stop wasting my money. For example, in 1991 a shoulder fired stinger missile cost $25k now its $400k. Why? Because the government no longer does bidding for projects. They award contracts. If they go back to the bidding process our defense budget will go WAY down.

National security agency, department of homeland security. Sounds to me like the same thing, doesnt it?

We have 11 aircraft carriers. Only 3 of them are active at any given time. The other 8 are costing us billions just sitting there.

There is so much waste they really COULD trim, if they really wanted to.

They don't want to trim military budgets. Never the military budget. Only social safety nets like social security and Medicare. It's so much better to save pennies at the cost of our elderly and spend hundreds of billions in waste on our military.

Well, thats what Eisenhower warned about back in 1956 (?). The military industrial complex. And that is the real power in the US now.

As I was pointing out the waste isn't in all the various programs and agencies that Elon wanted to cut. Those were only things that he didn't like and that were trying to regulate his activities. What really would save the country a whole lot of money is cutting military spending but that's off the table. As it stands the things that he tried to destroy have only cost us more.
