that is only half lazy. Piece of tubing into jug of oil and let gravity do the job. Learned this on a garden tractor that had a diff filler hole with very limited access.

    Oxbow Thanks this.

That magnet looks great. Clean it off, fill with fresh fluid and get you another load lined up.

    Tug Toy Thanks this.

I once drove about 100 miles with a transmission full of diesel. Broke a cooler hose so I bypassed the cooler filled it with diesel and was on my way. That was 40 years ago and diesel was a little slippery than now.

Your log truck friend sounds like an old man.

Well he’s lived out in a mountain town with a population of 1,100 and has been a logger all his life. I’m sure he’s done it before.

Until I switched to Wal Mart Supertech oil I hand pumped two 5 gallon buckets of oil every time I changed the oil in my truck for several years. It's not that bad.

Apparently you haven’t learned the “Honey, I need a hand for a minute cuz my arms are toshort to watch the level and pump the oil trick”. Try to keep a straight face when she says “is there even any (bleeping) oil coming out.
