It's called the Middletown truck stop I believe. Still there, not as cheap, and the parking lot is better these days. Now the one south of there in MD, that's an old Truckstop!
The Milroy PA Truckstop had great food before it turned into a Toms. My wife says it was the best French toast she's ever had. She was sad when they turned it into fast food, even though living in FL, the odds of her eating there again were slim.
Ok--- I'll throw out another...... Who remembers the Orange Ball in Orlando? And just for fun----- 1-Where was it? 2-Where was the scale?
You got me and I've lived over here since the early 80's when we moved from Melbourne. Of course I was in Elementary school. If it is the old truck stop that's no longer there, I do know where that is because Ace used to own it.
Ok, how about this. Orange Blossom Trail,on east side of road. Scale was on the north side . Could be a very scary place at night.
Scary? Nah we were kids it was an adventure---LOL.....glad someone beside me remembers.....i don't feel quite as old
Don't forget the Husky in Post Falls, ID. My wife and I watched the FD burn it down. It was a sad day for me, since that was where we used to meet up to eat before heading out. The GTX is still there... sorta. It's changed owners, I think. The parking has been reduced and some of it replaced by a rock business. I haven't been in there in years. Oh, and I didn't see any reference to Aladero's Pantyhose Junction in Dunnigan, CA on I5. Pilot ran them out of business, thus bringing forth my hatred of Pilot. It's well deserved, since Pilot has been ruining good old truck stops ever since.
being from north east. I would run route 17 from Windsor, NY to monticello racetrack with my father and grandfather. they had so many greasy spoons. I couldn't even remember a 1/3 of the names. food was incredible and fuel was cheap.
