That bites, wonder what other changes are underway? Use to be a decent place to hang your head

 

between iowa city Ia and west liberty Ia on route 6 there stands an old weigh station or at least it was there a year ago

 

yup sure enough found it just google Atalissa weigh station for pics

 

Wow there's soooo many to list but the first one to pop in my head was Whites truck stop in Raphine VA

 

I got fuel there last Thursday and they pumped mine and did the windows

 

Whites was good when the old couple had it, after they passed and the kids got hold of it, it went right down the toliet! The only saving grace for that place was when Petro moved in. Still a nice place they just opened the new shop has a small chrome shop now and they are building the truckwash. They still run the shuttle around the lot. I do miss the bakery and fresh rolls they use to make there

 

it was one winter back in the 90's 6 of us got stuck on the off ramp going eastbound on 90 trying to get up to the green shingle.about half hour later guy from the shingle walked down and gave us free cheeseburgers and coffee.

 

i really miss the t/a in Atlanta....

 

What about the old big A where the petro is now back in atlanta.
