That is a true ad, they just left a few things out. After going to texas, they drive you to Mexico to work.they also forgot the period. It' $2.50 to $3.80 an hour not $25 to $38.
allniter, American-Trucker and crb Thank this. -

You know, the ones that found the "right " company. -
Let me get this straight. They're paying $100,000/yr with great bennies, but they have to advertise on craigslist to find drivers. LMFAO............
LGarrison, allniter and CertifiedSweetie Thank this. -

I sent them a email with a fake name and one of my phone numbers. If they call i'm play like i'm interested and have no knowledge of trucking and ask a ton of questions and see what they say.

I had a company that thought I was lying about having two B.A.'s and asked to see my diploma/ transcrips ....proof. Now since it's somewhat seasonal they were offering me training in the office communications/marketing during the slow periods. They had an add for both jobs so since I was qualified for both I applied for both. Trucking paid more! Actually, if things work out the way they claimed they will I will make more in the spring than the office job paid all year! Looking at their CSA numbers I assume they will let me run so spring I run, Christmax time I will run then throw on some slacks in the off-season amd give my ############ skills a tune up. lol
As far as that add goes!, I have seen it as I live in that area and have done SOME oil field work. Yes, some O/O make that in the biz so whqt you have here is a start up company that thinks they can "cut in" and run the local Texans out of the patch with cheaper rates! This is my guess. Now the oil/gas industry just needs their #&$% they don't care about the rate as much as other shippers do. As I made a killing hauling frac sand, problem things got up and down they (the craigs list add) are baseing those numbers on peak production shipping needs/months not year/2-3 year averages AND, BIG AND, assuming they will cut out the good ol boys WHICH WILL NEVER HAPPEN!
But what do I know I'm just a crazy ### country boy! -
I agree, total bull pucky. I think the rules are 240hrs instruction, 40 classroom, the rest driving. As for the money? Nobody starts at the top.

Well, here in Cal in the oil fields starting pay for a tanker or flatbed oilrig related driving postion is 22.50 per hour. Some of them will train, but require 1 year experience if you attend a school. 73,125.00 for the first year is actually possible.
