I can't believe anyone is surprised anymore at anything you see at a major truck stop. Is it really news that this is where the scum of the earth and scum of the industry hang out?

The scum of the earth entered the trucking industry when companies desperate to put meat in the seat started financing training and completely otherwise local unemployable people were “trained” to drive truck.. this was in the ‘90’s…they were the ones in sweat pants, flip flops etc… pissing at the pumps,washing fifth wheel with a squeegee…the end of trucking

 

this is what we get for workers, when our youth don't wanna work and get dirty..they'd rather be "social media influencers", keep clean, stay in thier pajammies, live in mommy's basement, and rake in all that free money.

i at my age will never see our youth return to blue collar jobs, and i suspect many of you 1/4 my age ever will as well......

Even if you try to tell them what they are doing is wrong they look back at you with that dumb, wide eyed look that they have.

 

Exactly, this is the future. The youth of today have better opportunities and capable on it with monetizing platforms like youtube and Tiktok. Numbers talk when it cones to the populous of one nationality. Robot brains keep them moving towards truckng, whether that be drving, owning, dispatching, brokering freight etc.
They are never going anywhere even after a billion insults are thrown at them. Even with the push of the English Proficiency law that was always in place. Even if they ban 10k there will be another 50k waiting and getting in. 1.46 Billion within time will eventually make 3 billion later on. Family guy is No joke!

 

it is not just trucking, it is pretty much all the service trades, that require a trade/technical school diploma over a college degree...they just don;t wanna get dirty or work long hours...

sheesh, when i started working in the garage business, it was like 6 full days a week, from about 6 AM till about 6 PM.......setting up the station for pumping gas, taking tank readings, cleaning the rest rooms, etc....

and from there, as i worked up the ladder of management, longer hours, more responsibilities at the younger age of under 25.

trucking has not been an easier job, all the hours i, you and they worked, and we cannot log it.......



kids want an easier path to money and glory....

so the foreigners come in (i hope legally), and get the jobs, get rich as kings (to their countrymen back in their homelands) and make a killing here.

 

yea try getting a young dude to get into plumbing especially service repair , had 1 kid last less than 2hrs .
